Silhouette Lighting Family

O M I N O

OMINO is born from playfulness, friendship, and movement. Human life is defined by constant motion, and by the relationships that shape our daily existence. Conceived by Creazione SUGO, OMINO enters the interior not merely as a lamp, but as a companion—its presence animated by a handcrafted glass head that quietly purifies the surrounding air.

When founders Kevin Chu and Giulia Dibonaventura first explored the idea of lighting design, they asked a simple yet profound question: when does a lamp cease to be an object and become a sculpture? Can a utilitarian element express emotion, gesture, even a sense of family? From these reflections emerged OMINO.

Each piece is formed from bent tubular steel, its silhouette capturing the symbolic gestures of the human body—standing, leaning, conversing. A softly glowing opaque glass sphere becomes both head and mind, transforming the lamp into a quiet humanoid presence within the room. The initial collection introduces six figures, a small constellation of companions inhabiting the same space as those who live with them.

OMINO therefore moves beyond the language of lighting design. It becomes a sculptural narrative of human movement and interaction, where lamp and inhabitant coexist in a shared choreography of everyday life.
