FOGLIA also marks the first creation of Creazione SUGO. Its origins trace back to a moment more than a decade ago, when founder Kevin Chu, walking through the lush landscape of central Thailand, became captivated by the shifting iridescence of light across a banana leaf. That fleeting vision of color and movement became the seed of the project, first realized in 2011.

After years of refinement, the design evolved in 2018 with the development of the world’s first magnetic interchangeable acrylic screen system, engineered in Creazione SUGO’s Italian laboratory. The invention established FOGLIA as an icon of customization—situated somewhere between lighting, sculpture, and spatial instrument.

Among its most celebrated variations is the LIBELLULA limited edition, inspired by the delicate lattice of a dragonfly’s wing. Each acrylic screen is laser-engraved over three hours, translating complex CAD geometries into fine luminous patterns that refract light into a hovering veil of radiance.

For 2025, FOGLIA appears in a new chrome-plated edition, blending oriental cyberpunk aesthetics with the neon atmospheres of Tron. Its mirrored surfaces respond to touch through a progressive dimming system developed exclusively for Creazione SUGO, allowing the object to glow with subtle shifts of intensity.
