World's Purest Geometry Flex Lighting
I have always disliked visible wires, switches, and separate light components in lamp design. Inspired by Jonathan Ive’s minimalism and the sinuous grace of a snake, I envisioned a lamp that unifies structure, wiring, and illumination into a single, seamless form.
Most lamps rely on rigid parts that can be hazardous if struck, especially by children. To resolve this, we created a tubular structure encased in soft polyurethane, which conceals the wiring and integrates the light source directly into the body. The result is a flexible yet stable design that feels both safe and sculptural.
When plugged in, the natural bend of the tube becomes part of its visual identity. It can also be suspended from the ceiling, transforming the power connection into a distinctive design element.
Inspired by Giacomo Castiglioni’s legendary ARCO lamp, we aimed to carry its spirit into the 21st and 22nd centuries—pushing the boundaries of simplicity and unification. Lighting, in our view, should no longer exist as separate components but as a single, harmonious entity.
To enhance personalization, we designed soft, removable sleeves that slide over the lamp’s body, allowing users to introduce color or texture to its minimalist geometry.
