Creazione SUGO is a visionary design hub founded in 2018, operating between Italy and Hong Kong under the direction of architect and designer Kevin Chu. Educated at the Bartlett School of Architecture in London, Chu established the studio after relocating to Italy’s Abruzzo region, carrying forward a design ethos rooted in sustainability, experimentation, and cross-cultural dialogue.

Structured around a rotating collaboration model, Creazione SUGO works with a small network of designers and technologists, cultivating a fluid environment where art, product design, sustainable technologies, mixed reality, and nature-inspired narratives converge. Family life and outdoor exploration frequently inform the studio’s poetic design language.

This interdisciplinary approach has earned the studio more than 70 international recognitions, including the Red Dot Design Award, Archiproducts Design Award, German Design Award, A’ Design Award, European 40 Under 40, Lexus Award, DARC Lighting Awards, and China Red Star Design Award. Their ongoing creative partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, centred on large-scale art installations, further reflects the studio’s experimental mindset.

Creazione SUGO is also preparing two ambitious world-record projects while collaborating with a diverse global network that includes TCL Electronics, Fuorisalone, Aran Cucine, Sinoland Hong Kong, Multiforme Lighting, Midea, South China Morning Post, Salone del Mobile, Siemens, Daikin, and Westbank.

Italy forms the studio’s production backbone. By anchoring fabrication within the country, Creazione SUGO embraces the enduring legacy of Made in Italy craftsmanship. Their long-standing collaboration with Disisto 1940, a family-run metal workshop, exemplifies this dialogue between heritage manufacturing and emerging technologies. Within this framework, Chu continues to explore the evolving relationship between physical objects and digital realities, navigating the shifting boundary between tangible space and the metaverse.
