Stiamo lavorando per esplorare la spinta dei confini del tempo e dell'arte con Flli Domeniconi, un orologiaio italiano dal 1968. In questo progetto, stiamo spingendo i confini del design dell'orologio in elementi di design del prodotto che non sono immediatamente evidenti all'utente. Traendo ispirazione da un cactus in fiore, immaginiamo tre bracci meccanici che indicano ore, minuti e secondi, ruotando orizzontalmente. Ogni braccio è dotato di un piccolo faretto LED che illumina il soffitto, mentre il centro della struttura ospita un caricabatterie per telefono cellulare e un dock per altoparlanti. Quando viene posizionata in uno spazio interno, questa installazione appare come una scultura con elementi rotanti. Tuttavia, se c'è un soffitto a specchio sopra, l'indicazione di ore, minuti e secondi può essere individuata attraverso la rotazione dei bracci. Stiamo esplorando l'elemento sorpresa, dove un prodotto autonomo assomiglia a un caricabatterie per telefono e un sistema di altoparlanti unici, ma se visto dall'alto, funziona come un orologio astratto. Questo progetto mette in discussione la concezione convenzionale del tempo, suggerendo che potremmo aver bisogno di andare oltre l'accuratezza del tempo per esplorare il potenziale dei movimenti, che sono direttamente correlati allo scorrere del tempo nella vita di una persona mentre si vive sul nostro pianeta.

Kevin Chu – Videography Services

Kevin Chu is a self-taught videographer who has been researching filming techniques, cinematography, and video technology since 2019. Unlike many designers, he personally produces all video content for his own projects, driven by a desire to maintain complete creative control and accurately communicate his design vision.

Specialising in short-form films of up to five minutes, Kevin combines his expertise as a qualified architect and award-winning designer with advanced videography skills. His background allows him to understand spatial composition, lighting, form, and architectural storytelling, giving him a unique advantage when filming design, architecture, art, and product-related content.

Passionate about emerging technologies, Kevin utilizes state-of-the-art filming equipment selected for both image quality and mobility. His approach prioritises capturing the strongest possible content efficiently, ensuring every opportunity contributes to the final narrative.

Over the years, his videos have supported projects that have received internationally recognised accolades, including the Red Dot Design Award, A’ Design Award, and Archiproducts Design Award. He has also collaborated with artists, designers, and companies worldwide to create compelling visual content.

In 2023, while working on a project with Warner Bros. Discovery, Kevin had the opportunity to learn directly from professional film crews, further expanding his expertise in large-scale productions. Footage he personally directed and filmed contributed to a campaign that helped Warner Bros. Discovery and TCL Electronics China secure the Red Dot Award for Brands & Communication Design.

A licensed and experienced drone pilot, Kevin offers a complete videography service that includes concept development, scripting, filming, music composition, drone operations, post-production editing, and, where required, award submission support. He works closely with clients to deliver distinctive, engaging, and highly effective visual stories.

Kevin welcomes collaborations with individuals, brands, artists, and organisations seeking creative, design-focused video content with a strong narrative and professional execution.
